Leaked information from T-Mobile shows that on September 9, something known as the “Vanguard” will be arriving. It appears to be an HTC device. Two un-named Motorola devices and an LG device will all soon follow. T-Mobile’s highly-anticipated “Project Emerald” (reportedly an HTC device) will be revealed in November.

The leaked source also mentions updates to the existing Motorola Cliq, Motorola Cliq XT, and the newest Motorola Charm; all in September.

That’s a lot of Android love for T-Mobile.

While it may look like any other cell phone advertisement, the recent full-page Motorola DroidX ad in The New York Times is taking a jab at the reception problems for which the iPhone 4 has been criticized as of late.

The ad shows a picture of the Droid X and highlights its popular features such as the 8-meg camera with dual flash, HDMI output, 3G mobile hotspot connectivity, and more.

At the end of the ad is where the dig can be found. The final sentences state: “And most importantly, it comes with a double antenna design. The kind that allows you to hold the phone any way you like and use it just about anywhere to make crystal clear calls. You have a voice. And you deserve to be heard.”

In the wake of AT&T’s release of the iPhone 4, Samsung announced Google Android phones for all three of AT&T’s major competitors: Sprint, Verizon, and T-Mobile. AT&T continues to offer only the iPhone as its advances smart phone offering.

T-Mobile

All three Samsung phones are all built on Samsung’s Galaxy platform. The Samsung Vibrant will be available through T-Mobile. It has a full touch screen and T-Mobile will package the phone with the Kindle for Android application, GoGo Inflight Internet support, a Sims3 game, Avatar movie, MobiTV, and more. It will be available on July 21 and retail for $199.99.

Verizon

The Samsung Fascinate is also a Google Android phone with a full touch screen and is available exclusively through Verizon Wireless. Verizon includes, V CAST Music with Rhapsody, VZ Navigator, V CAST Tones, visual voicemail and V CAST Video on Demand. With the exception of the installed software and available services it is nearly identical to the Samsung Vibrant from T-Mobile.

Sprint

The Sprint Epic will be available through Sprint and as with the aforementioned devices has a Galaxy S base. This phone has a full sliding QWERTY keyboard and WinMAX radio. Sprint will load the phone with their own goodies such as Sprint TV, Sprint Navigation, NASCAR Sprint Cup Mobile, Sprint Football Live, and more. Although pricing is not yet confirmed, it will most likely run in the $199 range as do most of the higher-end smart phones. It is also rumored the device will be pre-loaded with Android 2.2.

With the addition of these devices to the Google Android market, consumers are finding they do not need to switch to AT&T to enjoy the features of high end smart phones. Between these new phones and HTC’s and Motorola’s existing offerings there are plenty of Google Android devices from which to choose, no matter where your wireless carrier loyalty lies.

What is the latest out of the Google Garage? At Google’s I/O development conference the company has released a number of new tech innovations out of their acclaimed labs phase and has announced its latest upgrade Android 2.2 yesterday. The OS now 7th upgrade since it launched in September 2008 and will finally bring Adobe Flash to smartphone browsing.

Resource heavy Flash has been questioned by smartphone manufacturers particularly Apple for a while now, but Google claims to have mastered processor speed, battery life & browsing experience. Processor speed on the new OS is supposed to be up to 5x of Android 2.1 and lets be fair that was a big step up already. The 2.2 upgrade should be available for on most of the latest Android smartphones, such as Nexus One, Milestone/Droid, HTC Desire, Legend and some of the newer HTC Heroes.

With now over 50,000 apps on Android Marketplace (12,000 alone last month) Google is still off Apples Apps Store, but expanding at a staggering pace. The new Android OS also features more flexibility that allows app developers to decide where their apps can be stored, phone or the SD card. A vision Apple should have a look at as it might crush its restrictive handsets.

Including all the latest Android technology, such as Google Goggles and the recently released Google Maps Navigation phones powered by the operating system are now challenging most of the handheld electronics market. Recent advertising ratings have claimed that Androids phones market-share have surpassed those of Apple’s iPhone and are now only second to BlackBerry in the smartphone market. Apple did however release a statement that challenge the measurement implemented for this statement and said it was only behind Research In Motion’s BlackBerry phones.

Froyo, the nicknamed Android 2.2, will further tab into the corporate market by offering exchange compatibility, syncing calendars and various security features. A smart move from Google as Enterprises are getter round to the idea of switching from the current BlackBerry preference. The enterprise sector is where Research In Motion (RIM) saw there largest successes. Google however has till date struggled to get acceptance from the large corporates, partly due to privacy and data concerns. A mobile operating system would however be a route in.

So time to start getting excited about the new OS and rise of the smartphone wave. Get ready, soon you won’t need a desktop PC any more.

Rumors that Samsung S-pad tablet will run Google Android has gone (In fact, we’d take this with a grain of salt, since there wasn’t anything official reported). However, it seems that it’s should take a period of time before the so-called Samsung S-pad comes into the market. While Google has confirmed rumors that it will develop an Android-based tablet computer months ago, there is still no sign. However the Chinese manufactures are always full of courage and creativity that they develop the first Google Android tablet PC in the world. And then many android-based tablet PCs are born. Here goes the one.

This 7 inch tablet PC is among the first serials that has adopted Google Android operation system. Compare with those notebooks that have adopted Windows XP or Window 7, this tablet PC will save you trouble and money since Google Android is open source, which means this OS is almost totally free for user and the community will always be updating and programming for this platform. Then this will keep Google Android OS always up-to-date. This is not like that of Microsoft OS, pack too much, more than we desire and cost much, more than we can offer. Mini in size and light in weight, this tablet is really ultra-portable, the right one of so-called UMPC (ultra-mobile PC). Apart from the Google Android OS, this device boasts VIA MW8505 533MHz CPU, supporting WiFi 802.11 b/g. This processor will ensure a smooth operation. With Google Android OS, users can enjoy lots of applications provided by Google, like Google chrome, Google Maps, Google earth, Gmail, Google Talk and others including You Tube. And all these can be conveniently found and download freely in Android Market. You can get what you really need and get rid of the redundant. Be powerful and efficient, but do be simple! This is what “Google” implies!

In a word, adaptive and expandable, this 7 inch high-brightness touch screen pad is fully upgradable! It desires you consideration!

To learn more details and buying ideas on this tablet PC now!

By: Christina Pomoni

In the wonderful world of smartphones, there are some devices that really stand out. The HTC Hero has been a long-awaited smartphone for gadget enthusiasts and since July 2009 that is launched on market, smartphone fans have found numerous reasons to agree that this device was missing from the Android world.

Featuring a Qualcomm 528MHz processor and 288MB of RAM on an Android OS, the HTC Hero is an elegant and attractive device – so elegant to be even compared to the iPhone (although the Google Android OS is not used on the iPhone and therefore the HTC Hero and the iPhone are not direct competitors). However, the HTC Hero does not stand out only for its superior physical design, with its sleek and distinctive look, but mostly for featuring HTC Sense, a proprietary user interface extension that only HTC-branded phones feature. Besides, it integrates greatly with Google services, offering a descent web browsing experience and featuring numerous third party apps. The HTC Hero features also a 3.2″ HVGA touchscreen that natively supports 480 x 320 pixels resolution, Wi-Fi connectivity, GPS, Bluetooth, and a 5.0 megapixel camera.

In particular, the 3.2″ touchscreen of the HTC Hero is stunning. Similarly like the iPhone 3GS, the HTC Hero has a shiny and impressive screen that rarely gets dirty thanks to its smudge-resistant material. Images are colorful and bright, although text reading is not always sharp and scrolling down long pages may be quite blurring.

HTC Hero’s virtual keyboard is definitely better than using a numeric pad phone, but for users who had been using a QWERTY keyboard, on screen keyboard may be slow to type to, or even uncomfortable. For instance, the Hero’s lack of keys might be a deterring factor for some consumers, particularly for those who have been using an iPhone OS.

The 5-megapixel camera is pretty spectacular. Most smartphones feature 3-megapixel built-in cameras, so featuring a 5-megapixel camera is a real surprise, particularly when it does a real good job. Although the image quality could be even better and colors could be quite brighter, the device has really quickly evolved into a great competitor. Featuring photo slideshow and zooming, users can enjoy great display in their photos.

Overall, the HTC Hero is the best Android smartphone on the market today because it features HTC Sense, an architecture that allows users to personalize their content and use their smartphone as they wish. Among its direct competitors, the HTC Hero is faster and better equipped with the native support of Exchange that makes it appropriate for small businesses and consequently a good potential substitute for Windows Mobile devices.

There are two versions of the HTC Hero. The GSM version was released in Europe featuring a squarer shape and high-flying chin. The CDMA version is much curvier and is offered in the U.S.

The retail price of the HTC Hero ranges between $179.99 and $599.99.

Market research IDC Company published a report, Google Android will roll up like a mat in smart phones market, and its growth speed will surpass all the competitors.

According to IDC report, from now to 2013, Android will be the wireless operating system with fastest growth speed and jump to the global second. Currently, Nokia Symbian smart operating system enjoys the widest popularity, closely followed by Blackberry Research in Motion (RIM) and Apple iPhone.

There is a little difference of rank in the American market. RIM is the most popular smart phone system; Apple comes off second best; the third is Microsoft Windows Mobile. However, Nokia Symbian merely accounts for a very tiny market share.

But IDC predicted, to 2013, the growth of Android will exceed all the rivals; as for the global rank, and it will also replace RIM and defeat Apple and jump to the second place. The main reason of this change is that more hardware dealers launched mobile phones adopting Android system. In 2009, Motorola, HTC and Samsung released several new Android mobile phones, furthermore, there will be more new mobile phone appearing in the market, increase the sales volume. Motorola has planed to launch at least 10 new Android mobile phones in this first half year.

IDC analyst Stephen Drake thought, a great many Android OS equipments will bring saltatory growth. A big advantage of Android superior to other rivals is that it can be used in massive brands’ hardware. RIM and Apple operating systems can only be carried on their own brand mobile phones. Drake said, although there are lots of operating systems, manufacturer who lack of self-owned software, opportunity is quite limited.

The reason of Android system growing rapidly is that the cost-free open source will appeal more and more cellphone manufacturers; nevertheless, TIM and Apple just adopt their own operating system in their self-owned brand phones. Microsoft Windows Mobile also permits cellphone manufacturers to use, but it need to charge authorization fees; moreover, Windows Mobile 7 delays launching, which will make manufacturers more inclined to Android.

According to IDC prediction, to 2013, the shipments of global smart phones will achieve 390 million; CAGR will reach 20.9 percent from 2009 to 2013. Symbian will continue to be front runner of smart phones market, outside of American market, Symbian will take the lead in other competitors.
